CSUMB Archaeology
The Archaeology concentration program at CSUMB blends archaeological field work and archival research methods. Using California’s central coast Mission era sites, students receive first hand experience in site excavation, ethnohistorical research of the indigenous population, and laboratory work archiving material culture uncovered during excavation.
Past field work have included the Mission San Juan Bautista and Mission Soledad.
