Safety (field handbook)
Archaeology does not take place in a secure office; instead the many possible environments for archaeology can have safety concerns. No matter the site take water and stay hydrated. Some safety promotions would be a spare tire, communication devices other than a cell phone, and food. When leaving for the field make sure to tell someone how long you’re expecting to be gone. Know the wildlife to look for when entering the site. - The Lab Work
